This newsletter drop summarizes my experience at Calvary Overland’s Rigs and Coffee. I wanted to share my experience with you specifically what the vendors had to offer, the rigs at the event, and what the mission of Calvary Overland is.
Before reading the newsletter if you could take some time to complete a short survey it would be greatly appreciated. The survey is about likes/dislikes about the newsletter and any recommendations on how to improve it.
What is Calvary Overland
Calvary Overland is an organization focused on building an overland community through guided trips, meetups, and community service events. It’s a kingdom community which means that Jesus is the foundation of everything which is something I resonate with.
What do they offer
The Rigs and Coffee meet ups happen at least once every four months. They give a good chance to show off your rig and see what setups and mods other rigs have. There are vendors that have products for sell, give information about upcoming events, and my favorite vendor to visit Logic Overland which provides free coffee at the meet ups. I recommend showing up early or they might run out before you get a chance to grab a cup. Lastly, they have huge giveaways at the end. Last time I went in June they gave away fridges, a bbq grill, and even a brand new roof top tent. The meet ups give a chance for like minded people to get together and build relationships while also having a whole lot of fun.

Rigs and Coffee shenanigans
The guided trips are an all inclusive experience where the route, campsites, and even a bar are provided. I believe that they also provide and breakfast and lunch for one of the days. This is a good opportunity to gain experience with overland travel all while having the security and company of a large group.
Finally, Calvary Overland organizes community events that allow relationship building while cleaning up and benefiting the natural lands and resources we love. They host a Padre beach cleanup every year. Which cleans the beach and is a great excuse to go beach camping with the Calvary Overland community.

Why you should support Calvary overland
Calvary is the largest and maybe only overland community in North Texas. One thing I really appreciate about them is they provide a space to meet other people with the same interest in off-roading and camping. It’s hard to find other people who like to drive hundreds of miles off-road in search of amazing campsites and adventure. The Rigs and Coffee meet ups provide a perfect environment for that.
If you are reading this email you probably enjoy the outdoors. One important principle that needs to be emphasized in the outdoor community is being a good steward of the natural resources that we love to enjoy. Calvary Overland has embodied this principle with their annual beach cleanup. I think it’s important with the privilege of having an audience on a public platform that an emphasis on keeping the outdoors clean and respecting the land is promoted and made a fundamental principle of this lifestyle we love.
Lastly, they give back so much to the community, from giveaways, guided trips, a place to gather and build relationships, and with Jesus Christ at the foundation of it all I hope that this organization will continue to grow and thrive.

Scripture of the month:
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:37-39
